Yin Yoga Classes with Emily Garrett
January 4 & February 15 (Sunday Class from 6-7pm)
Yin Yoga is a soft, slow style of yoga. In Yin practice, poses are held in a relaxed way for 3 to 5 minutes. The combination of longer holds and relaxed positions accesses the connective tissue in the joints. This helps to rehabilitate joints and creates a greater sense of ease and lightness in the body. Yin practice helps your body and mind release tension and cultivates deep relaxation. It is excellent preparation for meditation and provides a much needed complement to more vigorous forms of exercise.
Fee is $14 or you may use your swipe card.
Down Dog Workshop with Emily Garrett
Sunday, February 1 (1:30-3:30pm)
Learn everything you ever wanted to know about downward facing dog. This two hour class will be focused solely on the alignment and intricacies of the infamous down dog, one of the most widely used hatha yoga postures. Come, learn and ask questions, all about down dog. Down dog is a foundational yoga posture and learning it in depth will enhance all of your other yoga poses. Fee is $20 or you may use your swipe card (2 swipes).
